Day 1- Auckland

Despite the rough week prior to leaving I managed to feel fine by the time I made it to L.A. and the flight to NZ wasn't too bad. I arrived in NZ on the 29th of October at 4:30 am and made my way to my hostel in Auckland about 6:30 am. I was so excited that I took off into the city and discovered that my hostel was on the main drag in Auckland, Queen Street. After realizing that it was still too early to go any where I went back to the hostel, freshened up and made friends with my roommate, Maurita from the Netherlands, and we headed out to the museum.
At the museum we saw a lot of Maori artifacts and learned about the history of the country. After the museum I think a bit of jet lag kicked in and I ready for a rest, so after taking the long way back to the hostel and purusing town I decided to go to the internet cafe and call back home. After that I retired to bed and recharged for day 2.
